Abstract

Entrepreneurial intention is a major driver of youth employability and economic development. Despite the growing interest in this field, the psychosocial determinants of entrepreneurial intention among vocational training trainees remain insufficiently investigated in the Moroccan context. This study aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurial attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and perceived entrepreneurial training on the entrepreneurial intention of trainees enrolled in the Office of Vocational Training and Labor Promotion (OFPPT). The conceptual framework is based on Ajzen’s Theory of Planned Behavior (1991), extended by incorporating perceived entrepreneurial training. A quantitative approach was adopted using a questionnaire administered to 263 trainees from the Casablanca–Settat region. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, and multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms have a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial intention, whereas perceived entrepreneurial training exhibits a more moderate effect. This study contributes to advancing knowledge on entrepreneurship within vocational education in Morocco and provides practical recommendations for vocational training institutions and policymakers to strengthen entrepreneurship support mechanisms and promote business creation.
